Description
I have 18 years working in education, with 9 years as an occupational therapist in the K-12 setting for public, charter and private schools. I recently became certified as a Structured Literacy Specialist after completing my comprehensive practicum through IMSE. My son has dyslexia, and I have a passion for supporting children who are struggling readers. I love to utilize my skills as an occupational therapist and training in a variety of programs such as Handwriting Without Tears, Brain Gym, and Ready Bodies Learning Minds to combine activities in my tutoring sessions to improve visual motor, printing and self-regulation skills for these students.
