Description
Juli is an established educator and Learning Specialist with a demonstrated history of excellence in assessment and diagnosis, curriculum design, and instructional interventions. She has over 25 years of experience in Special Education, academic coaching, structured literacy, educational consulting, and teaching. Juli is a licensed Educational Therapist with the national Association of Educational Therapists. She is certified in an array of assessment and intervention techniques across the educational spectrum, from remediation to gifted services and multisensory learning to Executive Functions. Juli serves on a professional panel for best practices among Learning Specialists. She is a member of the National Center for Learning Disabilities, the Council for Exceptional Children, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Virginia Reading Association. Juli received her Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with an endorsement as a Reading Specialist (all grades, K-12). She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Special Education with a concentration in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She has teaching endorsements in Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Emotional Disturbances (all grades, PK-12). Juli has worked with hundreds of students and specializes in interventions for students with complex learning needs including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, executive function disorders, ADHD, 2e, and other learning differences. She leads a multidisciplinary team of teachers and specialists who offer diagnostic educational services following a multisensory, structured literacy and math approach with executive functions embedded in all of our instruction.
